“Art China•Prestige Night” shines over in Beijing
Hublot, the Swiss Luxury Watchmaker, once again, pays tribute to the Chinese Contemporary Art. For the second year, the Brand partners with the 10th AAC Award Ceremony staged at the Jianfu Palace Garden inside the Palace Museum, Beijing. “Hublot Loves Art” focuses on its inherent cultural mission to participate in Award of Art China (ACC), which is the annual Contemporary Art Prize of Great Prestige. The AAC holds a stronger emphasis on independent artistic values and ideas, introducing to the global audience the most influential Chinese contemporary art and artists. Hublot joined hands with big names of the worlds of art, culture, finance, and media to witness the most glorious moment of Chinese Art shinning in the Forbidden City, e.g. « Artist of the Year », « Young Artist of the Year » and ”Art Publication of the Year”. Hublot presented a Classic Fusion timepiece to all the winners, including Liu Wei, Hu Xiangqian and 《World 3：The History of Art as Ideas》 as gift to appreciate their brilliant contributions to Chinese contemporary art.
Established in 2006, AAC, as the only top art event that can be held in the Forbidden City. The iconic Chinese architecture, is aiming to screen and explore the event and the people of the year in Chinese modern art. Also, Hublot’s visionnary “ALL BLACK” concept and timepiece as well as the “Invisible Visible” philosophy were born that same year. Today, the contemporary « ALL BLACK » watch collections are celebrating their 10th Anniversary, telling the passage of time in the form of “Invisible Visible”. The mind-blowing design idea has been deemed as the philosophy of Hublot’s DNA, and has promoted Hublot as a leader for the aesthetic trend of watchmaking, fashion and contemporary art.
Hublot collided with Chinese contemporary art in 2014, and worked together with the Chinese contemporary artist Xu Zhen, for a permanent art installation called » Eternity – Hourglass Time » in the Chinese avant-garde art highland on 798 Art District. In early 2016, Hublot collaborated with famous Chinese contemporary artist Yue Minjun to launch a watch collection dedicated to Chinese art – the Classic Fusion Monkey King — and strengthened the origin between Chinese contemparory art and Hublot. The collaboration with AAC Art China is the ultimate fusion of watchmaking and contemporary art. Art and culture from the east and west crash, fuse and reborn here, creating another annual event of Hublot and witnessing a new form of support of the brand for Chinese contemporary art.
On the AAC award ceremony, celebrities and scholars in Beijing gathered here to celebrate this annual art event. Liu Wei was awarded « Artist of the Year », Hu Xiangqian « Young Artist of the Year » and 《World 3：The History of Art as Ideas》“Art Publication of the Year.” Mr. Loic Biver, General Manager of Hublot Greater China, expressed his sincere appreciation, ”Established in 1980, Hublot advocates for the Art of Fusion，2016 is the 10th anniversary of Hublot’s ALL BLACK concept, meanwhile 2016 is also the 10th year of the AAC Award Ceremony.
