We are really proud to have been awarded the GPHG “Horological Revelation” Prize consecrating a watch designed by a young and new brand. This award for the Galet Square crystallizes all our efforts over those last 5 years and is a strong motivation to commit further to excellence and creativity, which have always been our main drivers when developing Laurent Ferrier brand. With the same state of mind and spurred by this recent distinction, we are now impatient and excited to cross new frontiers in the classic Haute Horlogerie world.
Laurent Ferrier has devoted particular attention to the aesthetic harmony of the Galet Square model, as if one were holding a pebble in one’s hand. The movement is the self-winding FBN 229.01 calibre with unidirectional pawl-fitted micro-rotor and a three-day power reserve. This is the third in-house movement developed, assembled and adjusted in the Laurent Ferrier workshops. It is equipped with silicon escapement featuring double direct impulse on the balance.
The GPHG awards ceremony took place in Geneva, at the Grand Théâtre de Genève. The international watchmaking industry gathered for an exciting evening to discover the winners of the 12 existing categories featured at the GPHG. The jury of 26 professionals from the watchmaking world and media was headed by the Haute Horlogerie specialist and auctioneer Aurel Bacs. 193 watches were submitted and the judges had pre-selected 72 finalists, which were running for a total of 18 awards.
We are more than happy to share this award with you, who have so much contributed to the development and recognition of our brand.
