The return of the “gilt” dial
Beneath the domed sapphire crystal, the dial catches the light with reflections reminiscent of brass polished in the sun. Its glossy lacquered surface serves as a setting for a composition in which the metallic elements immediately stand out.
The “Y” as well as the YEMA signature are applied in relief and feature a glossy “gilt” finish. This technique gives them a particular depth and, above all, a warm metallic glow that shifts with the angle of the light.
The hour markers use the same treatment. Each one receives a “gilt” finish and is coated with Super-LumiNova® Grade A. In daylight, the luminescent material takes on a soft beige tone; in the dark, it ensures clear and effective legibility.
The hands have also been designed in this aesthetic continuity. Diamond-cut from steel, they receive a “gilt” finish before being treated with a Super-LumiNova® Grade A matching that of the markers.
Whatever the color of the dial, this “gilt” signature thus keeps its character: warm, luminous and in relief. A contemporary interpretation of the famous “gilt” dials that shaped the history of vintage dive watches.
A bronze case that will write its own story
The choice of bronze is obviously no accident.
Designed for diving professionals, the case adopts an architecture of 39 mm in diameter for only 11 mm in thickness. Its vertically brushed surfaces are punctuated by polished chamfers that emphasize the lines of the case and contribute to its neo-vintage character.
But bronze has a particularity that turns each example into a singular object: it evolves.
Depending on the conditions of use and exposure to different climatic environments, the metal will gradually develop its own patina. The watch will therefore change along with its owner, each case building an identity all its own over time.

To accompany this neo-vintage architecture, YEMA has chosen a double-domed sapphire crystal 2,20 mm thick.
This construction helps preserve the aesthetic inspired by historical watches while offering the qualities expected of a contemporary watch: increased resistance and better legibility.
The domed profile of the sapphire also contributes to the perception of the dial. It accompanies its reflections and accentuates the visual depth created by the glossy lacquer and the “gilt” elements.
A genuine dive watch
Behind its vintage aesthetic, this YEMA fully claims its status as a diving instrument.
Its unidirectional bezel receives a bronze insert graduated from 0 to 60, with a luminescent triangular marker at 12 o’clock. The screw-down crown, stamped with the YEMA logo in relief, contributes to the functional architecture of the whole.
Water resistance reaches 30 BAR, that is 300 meters or 990 feet.
This ability to combine a refined aesthetic with a genuine sporting vocation is one of the main attractions of this new creation. Here neo-vintage is not a simple exercise in style: it accompanies a technical design conceived for real-world use.

YEMA equips this new watch with its in-house caliber CMM.10, an automatic mechanical movement manufactured, assembled and adjusted in France by the house’s watchmakers in its workshops in Morteau.
The movement offers a stated accuracy of -3/+5 seconds per day, while benefiting from high resistance to magnetic fields and to shocks.
Its power reserve reaches 70 hours thanks to the use of a large barrel that optimizes the winding. The caliber keeps a frequency of 28 800 vibrations per hour, that is 4 Hz.
The architecture of the CMM.10 has also been the subject of specific work. Its asymmetrical mainplate, combined with regulating components, shock absorbers, escapements and barrels of high quality, aims to strengthen the reliability of the whole.
This in-house dimension gives the watch additional depth. Behind the bronze, the domed crystal and the “gilt” details, YEMA thus asserts the mastery of its French watchmaking chain.
An integrated Tropic strap
The watch is offered with an integrated FKM Viton® rubber strap, accompanied by a bronze buckle with a brushed finish.
This choice fits naturally with the sporting identity of the piece. The strap hugs the construction of the case while reinforcing its character as a contemporary dive watch.
