A Tourbillon Souverain “Souscription” estimated at up to 1.2 million euros
The first star of the sale is an exceptional F.P. Journe Tourbillon Souverain à Remontoir d’Égalité “Souscription” dating from 1999. Made in platinum and bearing the number 07/99T, this watch belongs to the very first “Souscription” series, which enabled François-Paul Journe to finance the launch of his independent manufacture.

Fitted with a tourbillon and a remontoir d’égalité, this historic timepiece comes with its original presentation box. Its estimate of 700,000 to 1,200,000 euros reflects its importance in the history of contemporary watchmaking.
A first-generation Chronomètre à Résonance
Another particularly remarkable piece is an F.P. Journe Chronomètre à Résonance “Première Génération”, number 105-01R, dating from 2001. Also made in platinum, this model houses the hand-wound calibre 1499, whose two independent gear trains and two escapements harness the fascinating phenomenon of resonance.

This emblematic creation from the manufacture’s early years is estimated at between 300,000 and 600,000 euros.

Between them, these two watches capture the technical daring and creativity of François-Paul Journe, who has become one of the leading figures of independent watchmaking. It remains to be seen whether collectors will be prepared to go beyond the published estimates.

The Paris Fine Watches sale will take place on Thursday 19 November 2026 at 2 pm, at Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr, 6 avenue Hoche, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris.
