For more than twenty years, MB&F has maintained a privileged relationship with American collectors through a network of prestigious partners. The opening of its own Lounge in Manhattan marks a decisive step in its development in North America, becoming the second sales space directly operated by the brand after the famous M.A.D.Gallery in Geneva.
To mark this opening, MB&F has created a brand new version of its Legacy Machine 101 EVO.
This special edition retains all the spectacular architecture that makes the EVO collection so successful, while adopting a completely new visual personality through the combination of a 5N rose gold case and a black PVD sunburst-finished dial-plate. This contrast further highlights the majestic suspended balance wheel and the floating sub-dials, which seem to literally hover beneath the domed sapphire crystal.
The three-dimensional architecture according to MB&F
The LM101 EVO remains one of MB&F’s most iconic creations.
Its immense 14 millimetre flying balance wheel immediately catches the eye, the true beating heart of the watch suspended above the movement. The hours and minutes are displayed on an inclined sub-dial, while the power reserve indicator, now extended to 60 hours, harmoniously balances the composition.
Beneath this spectacular architecture lies a movement entirely developed in-house, whose aesthetics and finishing were carried out under the supervision of master watchmaker Kari Voutilainen. Each component receives finishing entirely done by hand according to the traditions of nineteenth century Haute Horlogerie, combining polished inward angles, Geneva stripes, solid gold chatons and hand engravings.
The EVO spirit: Haute Horlogerie designed for everyday life
Launched in 2020, the EVO philosophy aims to make the Legacy Machines better suited to everyday use without compromising their mechanical sophistication.
The LM101 EVO thus benefits from a patented FlexRing shock absorption system, a screw-down crown, water resistance increased to 80 metres and a particularly comfortable integrated rubber strap. The disappearance of the traditional bezel, meanwhile, offers a completely unobstructed view of the movement thanks to the large domed sapphire crystals.
This technical evolution reinforces the watch’s contemporary character while preserving the artistic DNA unique to MB&F.
A discreet tribute to New York
While this edition openly celebrates the opening of the MB&F Lounge, it does so with elegance.
On the back of the watch, the sapphire caseback is engraved with the inscription “MB&F NYC,” accompanied by the individual numbering of each of the 25 pieces produced.
A discreet signature that recalls this LM101 EVO can only be acquired within the new New York Lounge, making it one of the most exclusive editions ever offered by the manufacture.

Located on the fifth floor of the Fuller Building, in the heart of Manhattan, the MB&F Lounge bears no resemblance to a traditional boutique.
