In 2024, a new voice emerged in the world of haute horlogerie: Fam Al Hut, or FaH, founded by Xinyan Dai and Lukas Young.
Far from the noise and the fanfare, the brand asserts itself through a clear philosophy: « All that exists was once imagined ».
In other words, everything that exists today is merely the realization of yesterday’s idea.

FaH claims a singular approach: merging the rigor of contemporary engineering with Chinese artisanal sensibility.
Its ambition? To offer haute horlogerie a new language.
A first creation, the Mark 1 Möbius
The first model, the Mark 1 Möbius, is not a simple watch.
It is a mechanical work of art that seeks to rethink the very notion of time, while defying the established codes of watch design.
Its concave stainless steel case, fully polished and devoid of lugs, traces a fluid continuity between the case and the strap, inspired by the Möbius strip whose name it borrows.
With its dimensions of 42.2 × 24.3 × 12.9 mm, it offers a confident presence while hugging the wrist with the comfort of a compact model.

The soul of the movement: the M01T calibre
At the heart of the Möbius beats the in-house M01T calibre, entirely designed and developed internally.
This hand-wound movement beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and delivers 50 hours of power reserve.
But the true feat lies in its bi-axial tourbillon, one of the most compact ever integrated into a wristwatch.
Its dual rotation system, 150 seconds for the first axis and 60 seconds for the second, brings a hypnotic mechanism to life.
This precision mechanism sits within a three-dimensional landscape, where every bridge, every wheel and every polished surface create the impression of a miniature city.
The transparency of the double sapphire crystal, front and back, reveals a world of engineering.

A redesigned display architecture
FaH has not only redesigned the engine: it has rethought the way time is read.
The Mark 1 Möbius features a dual retrograde display, hours and minutes, paired with an instantaneous jumping hour.
A rare technical choice, designed to offer reading clarity and an unprecedented visual.
The traditional red rubies give way here to colorless stones, reinforcing the visual coherence and monochrome elegance of the whole.
Despite the complexity of its movement, the watch remains surprisingly ergonomic: the absence of lugs and the curvature of the case ensure a balanced fit, worthy of a 36 to 38 mm piece.

Between art and engineering
FaH stands out above all through a vision.
Its watches seek to captivate through a dialogue between mechanics and aesthetics.
The Mark 1 Möbius perfectly illustrates this approach: a mechanical art of pure form, where technical prowess and beauty of gesture meet.
By refusing compromise, Xinyan Dai and Lukas Young have created a house that is not content simply to make watches.
A controlled and promising launch
Presented for the first time at Time to Watches in Geneva, during Watches & Wonders 2025 week, the Möbius immediately captured the attention of collectors and the specialized press.
The prototypes, unanimously praised for their finishing and technical boldness, made a lasting impression.
Since then, FaH has reached several notable milestones:
- Official invitation from the GPHG 2025 for the pre-selection,
- Selection among the 20 semi-finalists of the Louis Vuitton Watch Prize,
- First deliveries scheduled from August 2025.
With a price set at 32,000 USD before tax and a production limited to 30 pieces, the Mark 1 Möbius is aimed at a small circle of discerning enthusiasts.

A new era for independent watchmaking
In barely a year, FaH has redefined the boundaries of the possible.
The Mark 1 Möbius is not simply a first watch: it is a transitional work between the rigor of mechanics and the purity of contemporary design.
If every independent house aspires to mark its era, FaH already seems to be shaping the next dimension of it.
