Some watches measure time. And then there are those that give it meaning.
With the MU06-115 Hope, MAURON MUSY presents a unique piece whose purpose reaches far beyond watchmaking alone. Created for Watches for ELA and set to be auctioned for the benefit of the European Association against Leukodystrophies, this watch expresses, through material, light and mechanics, an idea as simple as it is powerful: even when darkness sets in, hope can appear.

“As watchmakers, we spend our lives measuring time. But some causes remind us that what truly matters is what we do with it,” says Christophe Musy.
For this exceptional creation, MAURON MUSY did not simply add a symbol to an existing watch. The brand designed a dial whose message only reveals itself once the light fades. A particularly coherent way of turning a mechanical watch into an object that carries meaning.
ELA: supporting families today, driving progress for tomorrow

The European Association against Leukodystrophies fights a group of rare genetic diseases that affect myelin, the protective sheath surrounding the nerves.
Severe and progressive, these diseases mainly affect children and can impair motor, sensory and cognitive functions.
ELA works on two complementary time frames. The association supports families facing the disease by providing administrative, social, psychological, material and financial help. At the same time, it helps fund research to better understand how these diseases work, identify the genes responsible and develop new therapeutic strategies.
Supporting ELA therefore means acting both for the families living with the disease today and for the medical progress of tomorrow.
It is precisely this idea of the future that the MU06-115 Hope sets out to embody.
Watches for ELA: watchmaking in service of a cause
Watches for ELA brings independent watch brands together around the association. Each participating brand designs a unique piece to be sold at auction, raising funds for ELA’s work in medical research and family support.
MAURON MUSY’s participation fits naturally into the brand’s culture.
From the outset, the brand has been built on a desire to challenge established solutions. This philosophy led, among other things, to the development of nO-Ring®, its patented gasket-free mechanical water resistance technology.
An approach based on a simple conviction: when a technical solution seems settled, nothing prevents you from looking for another way.
For Watches for ELA, this same drive to explore, to question and to keep searching takes on particular resonance.
“The commitment of ELA, of researchers, doctors and families is a great source of inspiration. For this auction, we created a unique watch inspired by a light emerging from darkness. A symbol of hope,” explains Christophe Musy.
MU06 UniX: an architecture turned unique piece

The MU06-115 Hope is based on the architecture of the MU06 UniX, one of the expressions of MAURON MUSY’s expertise.
Its 41 mm case is made of Grade 5 titanium and uses the four-part construction typical of the brand. It also incorporates the patented nO-Ring® technology, which ensures water resistance without a traditional gasket.
The result retains MAURON MUSY’s technical identity while hosting a dial designed exclusively for this unique piece.
With its satin-finished, brushed and polished surfaces, the Grade 5 titanium gives the whole a combination of lightness and technical character. The case is 11 mm thick and fitted with a sapphire crystal and a sapphire caseback, both with anti-reflective treatment.
Water resistance reaches 100 metres, or 10 ATM, thanks to the nO-Ring® mechanical architecture.
Hope: a word that only appears in the dark

Yet it is the dial that holds the full singularity of this creation.
In daylight, the surface shows a deep blue gradient. The eye finds the MAURON MUSY logo at 12 o’clock, while the word “Hope” remains invisible.
Then the light fades.
The dial, coated with Super-LumiNova, begins to glow. And it is precisely at that moment that the message appears.
At 6 o’clock, the word “Hope”, handwritten by Christophe Musy, emerges by contrast. Unlike the luminous surface around it, the inscription is not luminescent. The darker it gets, the more clearly the letters stand out.
The symbolism is strikingly direct: hope does not vanish with the light. On the contrary, it becomes visible when the light is gone.
The dial is then lacquered and polished to give it its final depth and finish.
This construction gives the piece a dimension that goes beyond a symbolic inscription. “Hope” is not simply written on the dial. The word is generated by the way the dial itself was designed.
The watch thus becomes its own storytelling medium.
A light built by mechanics

The approach is all the more coherent because it comes from a brand whose identity rests precisely on the search for different mechanical solutions.
Beneath the sapphire caseback lies the in-house MM02 calibre, with bidirectional automatic winding and a micro-rotor.
Made up of 169 components and fitted with 27 jewels, this movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4 Hz, and offers a 40-hour power reserve.
Hours and minutes are shown by two central hands.
The mechanics thus remain faithful to the philosophy of the MU06 UniX: an identifiable technical architecture, designed to showcase the movement while keeping the time instantly readable.
nO-Ring®, a technical signature

The MU06-115 Hope would not truly be a MAURON MUSY without its nO-Ring® technology.
This patented gasket-free mechanical water resistance solution is one of the brand’s technical signatures. It is an integral part of the case architecture and gives this unique piece water resistance to 100 metres.
The watch also bears the “Swiss Crafted” hallmark, certifying that it is made entirely in Switzerland.
A five-year warranty also comes with this creation.
Two straps for a unique piece

The MU06-115 Hope is delivered with two straps that can be swapped without tools.
They make it easy to change the watch’s look while keeping its architecture coherent. An 18 mm folding clasp completes the set.
This versatility remains in service of what matters most: a piece designed to be worn, but also to convey a message.
Because its future owner will not simply wear a unique watch on the wrist. They will wear a word that only reveals itself as the light disappears.
When watchmaking turns hope into action

The idea at the heart of the MU06-115 Hope is ultimately very simple.
Hope runs through both sides of ELA’s work: supporting families facing the disease and enabling research to make progress over the long term.
“Hope drives research forward. It gives families strength and inspires action. Hope means believing that progress is still possible,” stresses Christophe Musy.
This unique piece gives that conviction a remarkably literal expression.
By day, Hope is invisible.
In the dark, the word appears.
A watchmaking construction, then, that turns light into language and mechanics into a vehicle for commitment. The object is no longer only meant to measure the passing hours: it reminds us that time can also be devoted to supporting, to searching and to moving things forward.
A unique piece for an exceptional sale

The MAURON MUSY MU06-115 Hope will be auctioned for the benefit of Watches for ELA at the November Rare Watches auction held by Christie’s.
The sale is scheduled for 9 November 2026 at 1 pm, in Geneva.
Beyond its intrinsic rarity, this MU06-115 therefore has a feature that can never be reproduced identically: its story.
One watch.
One dial.
One word, written by the hand of Christophe Musy.
And a message that only truly appears when the light fades.
Hope.
