Some watches carry a story strong enough to span the decades without losing their identity. The CORUM Admiral is one of them. Born in 1960 and thoroughly reinvented in 1983, it built its personality around an instantly recognisable nautical language: its famous pennants.

In 2026, CORUM continues the transformation of this iconic collection. Presented at Geneva Watch Days 2026, three new creations mark a major step in that evolution: for the first time, the Admiral is made in ceramic.
Titanium blue, a two-tone pairing ceramic with 5N gold, and a skeleton version in anthracite ceramic: three interpretations that explore the potential of a contemporary material while asserting the Admiral’s calling as a sporty haute horlogerie watch.
Ceramic, a new expression of the Admiral
Ceramic is not merely an aesthetic choice.
Extremely hard, resistant to scratches and corrosion, lighter than steel and stable over time, it naturally meets the demands of a sports watch. It also allows CORUM to steer the Admiral toward a more contemporary expression without turning its back on the fundamentals that shaped its identity.
The arrival of ceramic comes at a time of deep renewal for the collection.
The new generation unveiled in April 2026 had already marked a significant evolution of the model. The pennants, the Admiral’s historic emblems, were integrated into the design of a new trapezoidal hour marker. The watch also gained a movement developed with Concepto, of which CORUM is the exclusive owner, along with an integrated bracelet, a first in the history of the collection.
Ceramic now carries this transformation further.
Three interpretations, three personalities
CORUM applies the new material across three distinct aesthetic architectures.
The first comes in titanium blue ceramic with coloured pennants. This version keeps the Admiral’s spirit at its most expressive while benefiting from the lightness and toughness inherent to the material.
The second plays on contrast with a two-tone construction combining ceramic and 5N gold. The gold dresses the case and also features in the bracelet.
The third takes an even more contemporary direction. This skeleton version uses anthracite ceramic and monochrome pennants that emphasise its technical character. Here, the openworked movement places the mechanics at the very heart of the watch’s visual identity.
Three personalities, then, but the same 39 mm architecture and the same intent: to move the Admiral forward without losing its character.
A 39 mm case built for performance
The three new Admiral models share a 39 mm diameter case with a restrained thickness of 8.90 mm.
Ceramic gives this new generation a different feel on the wrist compared with earlier steel versions. Lighter, resistant to scratches and corrosion, it suits the sporting vocation CORUM claims for the watch.
Water resistance is 50 metres, or 5 ATM.
But the evolution goes beyond the case material. The Admiral’s overall architecture has been entirely rethought around a new visual continuity, notably thanks to its integrated bracelet.
The integrated bracelet, a first in the Admiral’s history
It is one of the most significant changes in this new generation.
For the first time, the Admiral features an integrated bracelet. The lugs disappear so that the case lines flow naturally into the bracelet, creating seamless continuity between watch and strap.
CORUM designed the bracelet around five links with differentiated finishes.
A satin-finished central link is framed by two polished links, themselves flanked by two slimmer satin-finished links.
The result relies on a subtle play of proportions and surfaces. The contrasting finishes let light travel across the bracelet and highlight its architecture.
This construction naturally complements the Admiral’s new design language: more integrated, more contemporary and resolutely sporty.
A movement developed with Concepto
Beneath this new architecture lies a movement developed entirely with Concepto, of which CORUM is the exclusive owner.
It comes in two versions: the CO231 calibre and its skeletonised variant, the CO232.
Both movements are automatic and beat at 4 Hz, or 28,800 vibrations per hour. Their power reserve reaches 72 hours, three full days.
The CO231 calibre comprises 172 components and 29 jewels.
The skeletonised CO232 takes the exercise further with 181 components and 28 jewels.
In both cases, the mechanics play a full part in the identity of the new Admiral.
The movement as mechanical spectacle
Visible through a sapphire crystal caseback, the movement features particularly meticulous decoration.
Satin-finished surfaces sit alongside polished bevels and a grained mainplate. The oscillating weight has a gilded, grained finish engraved with the signature “The Key of Time Since 1955”.
At its centre sits the CORUM Key, the brand’s historic symbol.
On the skeleton version, the openworked movement turns this decoration into a true, visible mechanical architecture. The functions are deliberately limited to hours, minutes and seconds to give more room to the structure of the calibre.
The eye can thus travel through the watch and discover the various components that make it run.
The pennants, the Admiral’s historic DNA
Even as the collection evolves profoundly, CORUM is not giving up one of its most recognisable signatures.
The pennants remain at the heart of the Admiral.
Their role, however, has changed. They are no longer used simply as standalone decorative markers: they are now blended into the design of this new generation’s trapezoidal hour markers.
On the titanium blue version, the coloured pennants add an expressive touch that instantly recalls the Admiral’s nautical heritage.
On the anthracite skeleton version, they turn monochrome and contribute more to the piece’s technical atmosphere.
This change illustrates CORUM’s approach: keep the historic codes, but give them a new function within a contemporary architecture.
Three Admirals, one vision of sporty haute horlogerie
With these three creations, CORUM is doing more than introducing a new material.
The brand is continuing to renew a collection born more than six decades ago, whose most emblematic design language dates back to 1983.
Ceramic now opens up more contemporary territory. The integrated bracelet strengthens the coherence of the silhouette. The movement developed with Concepto affirms CORUM’s determination to take greater control of its mechanical architecture.
The skeleton version naturally takes this logic to its most technical expression, revealing the mechanics rather than concealing them.
The Admiral thus changes its material, its visual proportions and its architecture, yet keeps what makes it unique: its nautical codes, its pennants and its ability to blend sporting spirit with haute horlogerie.
A new chapter for CORUM
Unveiled at Geneva Watch Days 2026, these three ceramic Admiral watches are part of the fresh momentum CORUM is championing.
The material is contemporary, the architecture is new and the mechanics are evolving, yet the project remains deeply rooted in the Admiral’s history.
The titanium blue ceramic asserts a sporty, expressive personality. The two-tone version pairs the modernity of ceramic with the warmth of 5N gold. The anthracite skeleton version, for its part, reveals a more technical, urban side of the icon.
Three interpretations of a single revival.
And perhaps proof that a watchmaking icon can evolve without giving up what allowed it to stand the test of time.
