For more than sixty years, the OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch has held a singular place in the watchmaking world. An exceptional chronograph turned legend, it embodies technical rigour, human daring and a functional aesthetic that has become timeless. Forever associated with the conquest of space and NASA’s lunar missions, the Moonwatch transcends the mere status of a watch to become a symbol.
At the start of 2026, OMEGA opens a new chapter in this iconic story by unveiling two new Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional models, offered in a bold, graphic interpretation built around a universal theme: black and white.
A subtle evolution, respectful of the model’s DNA, that illustrates OMEGA’s ability to move its icons forward without ever altering their essence.

A reversed reading of the Speedmaster myth

At first glance, these new Speedmaster Moonwatch models captivate with their reversed dial, an aesthetic approach that renews the perception of this legendary chronograph while preserving its founding codes.
OMEGA has kept the famous stepped dial, an essential visual signature of the Moonwatch. Here it is built from a double plate. The upper plate, in polished black, features a lacquered and varnished finish that gives it remarkable depth and brilliance. The rhodium-plated sub-dials, for their part, rest on a white base, likewise varnished and lacquered.
The play of contrasts continues in the graphic details. The minute track appears in black on the white sub-dials, while it is drawn in white on the black main dial. This visual inversion reinforces both the legibility and the graphic character of the watch.
The result is a resolutely contemporary Moonwatch, at once elegant and technical, that retains all the functionality of a chronograph originally designed for the most extreme environments.
A monochrome aesthetic down to the finest details

The coherence of the black and white theme extends across the entire watch. The black ceramic bezel carries a tachymeter scale in white enamel, echoing the historic codes of the Speedmaster while bringing them a discreet modernity.
The front is protected by a “box”-shaped sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment, evoking the profile of the historic crystals while offering contemporary standards of resistance and legibility.
On the wrist, the polished-brushed bracelet in the classic Moonwatch style strikes a perfect balance between robustness and elegance. It incorporates OMEGA’s patented comfort adjustment system, allowing precise and intuitive fitting, a valuable asset in everyday wear.
Two interpretations of a single legend

OMEGA offers this new black and white Speedmaster Moonwatch in two 42 mm versions, each expressing a different facet of the lunar icon.
The stainless steel version follows the most faithful continuity of the original Moonwatch. The hands and hour markers are rhodium-plated and coated with white Super-LumiNova, ensuring optimal legibility in all conditions. The whole offers a clear, balanced and timeless reading, ideal for enthusiasts of emblematic tool watches.
The 18K Moonshine Gold version offers a more precious interpretation of the Speedmaster, without ever betraying its instrumental spirit. This exclusive OMEGA alloy, paler and more resistant to tarnishing than traditional yellow gold, gives the watch a subtle and elegant presence. The 18K Moonshine Gold hands and markers are coated with white Super-LumiNova, while the central chronograph hand adopts a Moonshine-coloured PVD treatment. A refined interplay of contrasts between black, white and the warmth of gold.
Calibre 3861, heir to the conquest of space

At the heart of these two new Speedmaster Moonwatch models beats the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 3861. This movement represents the most accomplished evolution of the mechanical line that carried NASA’s astronauts to the Moon.
A direct heir to the legendary calibre 321, the 3861 incorporates OMEGA’s patented Co-Axial escapement and holds Master Chronometer certification. This guarantees an exceptional level of precision, reliability and magnetic resistance, meeting the most demanding standards of contemporary Swiss watchmaking.
This mechanical excellence allows OMEGA to back these models with a five-year international warranty, a token of confidence and durability.
A contemporary Moonwatch, true to its heritage

With these new black and white Speedmaster Moonwatch models, OMEGA once again demonstrates its mastery of measured evolution. Far from a stylistic break, the brand offers a graphic, high-contrast rereading of its icon, faithful to its heritage while resolutely anchored in its era.
These models are aimed as much at lovers of watchmaking history as at enthusiasts of assertive design, in search of a Moonwatch with a singular personality.
More than a novelty, this Speedmaster is a reminder that some legends never stop evolving, precisely because they have known how to stay true to what made them eternal.
