Inspired by a remarkable Longines watch from 1959, the Conquest Heritage Central Power Reserve displays a confident vintage style in tune with modern watchmaking expertise. Its distinctive feature lies in a unique display, invented and used exclusively by Longines.
The power reserve is shown on two rotating discs at the centre of the dial: a baton-shaped indicator points to the number of hours remaining on an outer disc graduated from “64” to “0”, for a dynamic and intuitive reading of the watch’s autonomy. When the watch is worn or wound, the disc turns continuously from one duration to the next, giving the dial a subtle sense of movement.
This historic function is now available in two new versions of great refinement. The light blue opaline dial, paired with a stainless steel bracelet or a grey leather strap, adds a more contemporary touch while preserving the elegance of a traditional design.
Technical excellence and artisanal refinement
A testament to an enduring drive for innovation, these models are powered by the exclusive Longines calibre L896.5. This mechanical self-winding movement, fitted with a silicon balance spring, ensures high precision, strong resistance to magnetic fields and great long-term reliability, while offering a 72-hour power reserve.
The 38 mm stainless steel case, alternating satin-brushed and polished finishes, reflects the elegance of this collection. It features a screwed transparent case back and a crown adorned with the winged hourglass emblem. A domed sapphire crystal with a multi-layer anti-reflective coating ensures optimal legibility, while water resistance to 5 bar, or 50 meters, offers greater convenience in daily use.
The light blue opaline dial is enhanced with applied indexes and silvered “skyscraper” style hands set off by a Super-LumiNova® coating, ensuring excellent legibility in all lighting conditions without giving up refined aesthetics. The trapezoidal date window at 12 o’clock adds a distinctive touch.
The stainless steel bracelet has a clean contemporary look, with a double-safety folding clasp featuring a push-button opening mechanism as well as an integrated micro-adjustment system for enhanced comfort and personalised fit. The power reserve function
