Some watches tell a story. Others embody a philosophy. With the Attitude Élysée #2 – Édition Liberté, PEQUIGNET signs a timepiece that lays claim to far more than a simple tricolour aesthetic. Behind its elegant blue dial lies a bold vision of French watchmaking: independent, manufacture-driven and deeply attached to national know-how.
Three years after the success of the first Attitude Élysée, the Jura-based manufacture renews its partnership with the Présidence de la République through a limited series of just 100 pieces. An edition that does not merely place an official emblem on a dial, but takes part in a broader effort to promote products made in France and the national heritage.

A collaboration that goes beyond a mere exercise in style
In the world of watchmaking, institutional partnerships are rare. They are rarer still when they rest on genuine coherence.
The story begins in 2021 during the Grande Exposition du Fabriqué en France held at the Élysée. Selected among the emblematic companies of French know-how, PEQUIGNET then caught the attention of the Présidence de la République. Two years later, a first watch was born, named Attitude Élysée, produced in 300 pieces.
The Attitude Élysée #2 is therefore not an isolated marketing operation. It extends a relationship built around a shared ambition: to shine a light on a French watchmaking industry capable of designing, developing and manufacturing mechanical movements on its own soil.
This continuity gives this new edition a legitimacy that goes well beyond that of a simple limited series.
The blue of Liberté as a guiding thread

The aesthetic choice revolves around the first value of the republican motto: Liberté.
The dial takes on a deep blue whose personality shifts with the light thanks to a Clou de Paris pattern. The reflections change continuously, offering a discreet yet particularly refined presence.
The polished hands bring the touch of white, while the red seconds hand completes an evocation of the national colours without ever tipping into ostentation.
This restraint is probably one of the finest achievements of this edition. Nothing is showy, everything is suggested.
The “RF” monogram, symbol of the Présidence de la République, appears sparingly on the dial, the crown, the oscillating weight visible through the sapphire case-back, and on the pin buckle. The blue leather strap punctuated by fine red stitching completes this particularly coherent visual identity.
The real selling point: a French manufacture movement

The appeal of this Attitude Élysée does not, however, lie solely in its styling.
Beneath its 39 mm steel case beats the Calibre Initial®, an automatic movement developed by PEQUIGNET in its workshops in Morteau.
At a time when many French brands rely on movements of Swiss or Asian origin, PEQUIGNET stands out as an exception.
The Calibre Initial® offers a 65-hour power reserve, bidirectional winding, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a stop-seconds function. But beyond the figures, it above all embodies the ability of a French manufacture to master the entire process of designing a modern mechanical movement.
More remarkable still, nearly three quarters of its components are of French origin, while the entire supply chain for the brand’s manufacture movements remains concentrated within a radius of less than 80 kilometres around Morteau.
At a time when industrial sovereignty is once again at the heart of the debate, this approach gives particular depth to this special edition.
A watch that also contributes to preserving heritage

Another distinctive feature of this limited series: it is marketed under the “Élysée – Présidence de la République” label.
Part of the proceeds directly helps fund the restoration and enhancement of the heritage of the Palais de l’Élysée.
This positioning gives an added heritage dimension to this watch, which goes beyond being a mere collector’s item to become concrete support for preserving an emblematic site of French history.
A limited series that should quickly find its audience

Limited to just 100 numbered pieces, the Attitude Élysée #2 will be offered for pre-order from 14 July 2026, a date chosen with an obvious sense of symbolism.
Priced at 3,500 euros, it appeals as much to lovers of fine French watchmaking as to collectors drawn to confidential editions and pieces that carry meaning.
Faced with ever more intense international competition, this new release above all reminds us that French watchmaking still has manufactures capable of developing their own movements and defending a strong identity.
Passion Horlogère’s verdict
Beyond its elegant aesthetics, this Attitude Élysée #2 stands out for what it represents.
In a sector where the term “manufacture” is sometimes overused, PEQUIGNET continues to prove that genuine French haute horlogerie truly exists.
This collaboration with the Élysée could have been nothing more than a communication exercise. In the end it becomes the symbol of a French industry that lays claim to its independence, its know-how and its capacity for innovation.
At a time when the origin of products is regaining all its importance among collectors, this Liberté edition reminds us that a watch can also carry a story, an industrial culture and a certain idea of French excellence.
