The current STOWA Chronograph line is expanded by a Marine Chrono.
STOWA presents this year the Marine Chrono besides the classical Chrono 1938 with the typical formed dial of former pockets watches and the diminished Flieger Chrono.
The historical STOWA pocket watch of the year 1940 which can be seen in the STOWA museum provided the basis of the design and influenced already the design of our successful model Marine Original (with handwinding movement Unitas 6498). The matt silver dial as well as the blued hour- and minute hands may underline the significant impression of the design classic. However the remaining hands are held more subtle but should be good readable if needed and not compete with the normal time display. STOWA solved this problem by using polished and galvanized helping hands. The case diameter is 41 mm and inside you will see under a sapphire crystal case back the reliable automatic chronograph Valjoux 7753 caliber.

Bauhaus style in new size
In the typical Bauhaus design STOWA will present on the BASLE fair this year the expansion of the popular ANTEA line. You will note at once the new diameter of 41 mm.
The hand winding watch will be equipped with the approved Unitas 6498 movement which is working most reliable for many years in our model range Marine Original. With a larger case STOWA realizes one more time the request of the customers for a perfect readable watch. The simple typography of the dial is only amended by a subtle STOWA Logo, the rest follows the clear design. Thereby the printed „Made in Germany“ can now be seen on another part of the watch. While designing the watch Jörg Schauer decided to abstain completely from the certificate of origin on the dial and achieved thus an optical b

As of now the Antea Day-Date range which we presented in 2011 is amended by a model with black dial. This model in which day- and date display are nicely fitted into the dial and with it‘s numerous varieties of straps is built in a 39 mm case. Inside our reliable ETA 2836-2 movement is ticking and of course this model – just like every STOWA watch – is equipped on both sides with sapphire crystal.

Handwinding Chronographs with mechanical movements became rare on the manifold market of mechanical calibers. That‘s just too bad! In former times Jörg Schauer built in from time to time the caliber Valjoux 7760 which disappeared some years ago from the production line of ETA. Already last year Schauer thought „Back to the roots“ when he presented the limited serial Edition 10 which is already sold out.
This idea did not release him so he developed during the last months a new handwinding bridge for the chronograph movement Valjoux 7753. With a deep engraving which has been already realized by Schauer 10 years ago (for a single piece of Tourbillon) this new bridge will be now available for the Kulisse edition (edition 9, edition 10, edition 11, edition 12, edition 14 and edition 15).
The watches loose ca. 1 mm clear height and in combination with the new bevelled bezel in 41 mm (also available for edition 9, 10 11) they disappear more easily under the shirt collar than the 42 mm watches with linear bezel which have a more compact look.
The hand winding bridges can be specially individualized. For one of his most important markets Japan Schauer has constructed for example an individualized handwinding bridge „Schauer for Japan“.
